The hotel is located on a rather grimindustrial estate and there are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance

What was the highlight of Golden Tulip La Baule
All was good and we enjoyed our stay at Golden Tulip La Baule.
The room was clean and big enough we had a balcony and access to the sauna at the first floor which was really needed after a long trip to La Baule. In addition we had free parking which was quite convenient. The quality of breakfast was good and fresh. The staffs were friendly at the reception desk and restaurant.
The Sauna was not reservable so we had to check several times to see if there is any free spots for us or not.

We had to pay deposit - it wasn't convenient. And the location is far from the beaches

Clean ,comfortable ,welcoming. Location poor for a four star hotel. We would not stay again
Staff at reception and in the dining room very helpful and cheerful. Spacious , clean room . Large bathroom. Accessible shower. Quality toiletries. Large , comfortable bed.Sufficient pillows. Cosy quilt . Air conditioning available. Free bottled water daily. Use of a fridge in the room . Free car parking. A reasonable half an hour walk into the centre of La Baule .
Hotel location: not ideal amongst several industrial units . When sitting on our balcony we were in full view of workers in a manufacturing unit directly across the car park. Also were disturbed by the noise of them working . The curtains were not fully attached to the rails therefore difficult to close properly . I informed reception of this on our second day but it was not rectified before our departure. On arrival, when opening the fridge, there was a pungent smell which lingered on everything we put in Breakfast was an extra, and expensive.
